Mindfulness is a simple technique based on meditation. It is a form of self-knowledge and self-observation that, through conscious breathing and full attention to your sensations, thoughts and emotions, allows you to live in the here and now, learning to respond rather than react. It leads your Self to observation without judgment, from compassion.
These practices are successfully applied as a therapeutic means for a wide variety of psychological problems in different contexts, health, social work, education, work environments and others. From this point of view, mindfulness is at the basis of all third generation therapies in psychology. This has led to the development of curricula in some of the most prestigious universities worldwide. Some pioneering programs stand out, such as MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) at the University of Massachusetts or MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) at the University of Oxford, among many others.

Mindfulness has verifiable scientific results. In the fields of Medicine, Education, Therapy, Development and Personal Growth, science has been providing studies that prove the effectiveness of a technique of sustained attention to the present moment through breathing as an anchor: Time-Attitude-Posture-Position-Breathing.
Accept what there is, without further ado, let be what there is, without further ado, make room for what is expressed in each moment within our body by way of thought, feeling, emotion or body message (heat, cold, tension, moisture, pain …), the body speaks.
Open posture, whichever is chosen among all that we can find. We can do it sitting on a chair, or a cushion on the floor, lying down and walking or walking. We choose the posture that is repeated and we repeat it every time we exercise the formal practice of Mindfulness.
The “breath counters” call us. The first thing we learn is to count breaths, to pay attention to the breath, to find in it the way back home, to our inner self, where all that we really are awaits us. We find the pure center of conscious attention, an ontological entity that can observe everything and, if it observes it, it cannot be the observed. Observer and observed are different entities by scientific definition.
